Misdemeanors

A misdemeanor is a crime that can result in up to one year in the county jail if you are convicted, in addition to probation, fines, court costs, and other penalties.  You can be charged with a second-degree misdemeanor, which is punishable by no more than 60 days in jail, or a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by as much as one year in jail.
